Danny came out really quickly within a couple of days, did a thorough survey of the buildings and assured me that there was none. I contacted Danguard in something of a panic, having discovered some narrow grey boards in the (head) reveal of some old windows. With the builders commencing work imminently, it was important to me to have the whole property checked as soon as possible. Danny kindly offered to attend a couple of days later. Clearly very knowledgeable and experienced he immediately put my mind at rest by talking through survey options, testing procedure and likely outcomes. Since my property is undergoing a full renovation I opted for the more intrusive survey just to be sure. The results and very comprehensive report came back 4 days later, as promised. Luckily there was little to worry about and was easily dealt with. I am extremely grateful for the rapid, professional response and detailed report of the findings.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I required an asbestos test for the textured ceiling in my kitchen prior to my upcoming full kitchen renovation. I checked Google for local asbestos surveyors and chose to call Danguard. Danny arranged an appointment convenient for me, which took place a few days later. During his visit he carried out an asbestos check of my flat (he thankfully didn't find anything untoward) and then took a sample from the kitchen ceiling. Danny was polite, informative and respectful of my home during his visit. I was sent the test results via email from Danny just three days after the test date (and luckily for me the testing laboratory found that no asbestos was detected in the sample). I phoned with an enquiry about some suspicious looking boards I needed to disturb to renovate our ensuite, expecting to have to get Danguard out to sample the material. Spoke to Danny, who instead asked me to send some pics and he confirmed not AIB, saving me the cost of sampling. Gave his time and expertise FOC and put my mind at ease. Would happily have paid. Really professional and friendly, and clearly clued up and enthusiastic about his work. If I ever need any surveys etc. done in a professional context, Danguard will be my first call.

Why would I need an Asbestos Survey?

Asbestos Management Survey: The Control of Asbestos Regulation 2012 (Regulation 4) states that any non domestic premises constructed before 2000 must have in place an Asbestos Management Plan. This comes under ‘The Duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises’. The responsibility for this would normally fall to the ‘dutyholder’. This regulation is in place to ensure that any staff, contractors or members of the public are not exposed to fibres from any asbestos containing materials.

Asbestos Refurbishment & Demolition Survey: This type of survey is required by law to all domestic and non-domestic premises when structural works or demolition is to be carried out. This type of survey is a destructive survey designed to find all asbestos items that may be hidden in cavities, boxings and above ceilings or under floors etc.

Asbestos testing: This may include any number of samples as requested. Only bulk analysis reports are provided. It does include a fully comprehensive report. All bulk analysis of samples are carried out by an independent UKAS Accredited Laboratory.
